In a world increasingly reliant on digital technology, there is a huge amount of trash. Unnecessary emails, files, apps, duplicates of photos and videos form digital waste that creates digital pollution and that continue to consume energy even when we have forgotten it.

Digital trash sits in the backups on servers that provide us with cloud service and continue consuming electricity. Each year the internet and its supporting systems produce more than 900 million tons of CO2.

FSACCI wants to raise awareness among its members about digital waste and the importance of reducing it.

On Friday 15th March:

During the webinar, we will delve into the various forms of digital waste generated daily, from unnecessary emails and file duplications to outdated software and unused cloud storage. We will share insights and also explore solutions for individuals and companies to streamline their digital footprint, minimize waste, and adopt sustainable digital practices.

Goal: empower members to take control of their digital environments and adopt sustainable digital habits !

Event details:

  • Friday 15th March 2024

On Tuesday 4th June:

We will be judging the most active members who have reduced the largest amount of digital waste. The winning company will be rewarded with an awareness campaign that will introduce the 2024 CSR initiatives implemented by FSACCI.
